WORK NORTHERN ALASKA

“Respect your fellow human being, treat them fairly, enjoy their friendship, work together for a common goal and help one another achieve it.”

—BILL BRADLEY

We recognize it is the quality of our coworkers that provides the critical ingredient to the creation of a great hospitality experience for our guests. A great workplace starts with shared values, thus it is our goal to attract coworkers who believe: that PROFESSIONALISM and INTEGRITY are not innate characteristics but, instead, daily decisions; that because we are what we repeatedly do, EXCELLENCE, then, is not an act but a habit; and, finally that a great workplace cannot be achieved if it is not built on a foundation of positive, trust-based coworker relationships — an impossible task without the shared values of RESPECT and JOY.

EACH AND EVERY experience Northern Alaska Tour Company shares with our guests is anchored in a foundation comprised of:

  • A fervent belief in the powerful positive impacts of a travel experience.

  • A deep appreciation for the natural history and cultural heritage of Alaska's Arctic.

  • A drive to ensure that every guest comes away from their Northern Alaska Tour Company excursion feeling that they have not merely seen Alaska's Arctic. But they have experienced it in a way that has left them with a deeper understanding and richer appreciation of Alaska's Arctic than they might otherwise have been able to obtain.

  • A strong recognition that every experience must be created in a manner that ensures its sustainability. From the perspective of the natural environment, efforts must be made to ensure that all guest interaction with the natural environment takes place in a manner that will allow the integrity of the experience to be retained for future visitors. From the perspective of the cultural environment, all efforts must be made to ensure that those sharing their way of life with visitors are able to do so in a way that is compatible with their desire and ability to retain chosen elements of their lifestyle.
